Mother's Day Forest Bathing & Yoga Workshop

Join us for a special Mother’s Day workshop that will explore all of your senses! Bring your mom or favorite person!

Kids Yoga Workshop ( Ages 4-10yrs )

 

Saturday, May 8th | 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Kids Yoga is an active class, unlike traditional yoga, teamwork, patience, balance, breathing, and flexibility will be some of the core practices in kids yoga. At this workshop, kids will be participating in making a Mother’s day gift.

 

They will begin with painting a clay pot for their mom and while it's drying they will enjoy kids' yoga.

Once yoga is finished they will stop over to Breezy Hill to add a plant to their painted clay pot. Light snacks and
water will be served.

 

NOTE: This event runs at the same time as our Mother’s Day Forest Bathing workshop so your family will get to enjoy a special yoga event!

Yoga Nidra Workshop 

 

Sunday, May 23 | 7:00 - 8:00 PM

Yoga Nidra—known as yogic sleep—is a meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. It has been said that an hour of yoga nidra can be as restorative as four hours of regular sleep. 

Students will start by warming up with basic yoga movements, then find a comfortable resting position using blankets, pillows and anything that provides comfort. Shayna will guide everyone through a healing and soothing script of guided meditation to create space for participants to rest in a subconscious state for an hour of deep relaxation.

Aside from being relaxing, restorative and restful, studies have shown that yoga nidra can also:

*Ease insomnia
*Decrease anxiety
*Alleviate stress
*Reduce PTSD, chronic pain and chemical dependency
*Foster feelings of peace, calm, and clarity
