Megan Kleven

Hello Everyone! My name is Megan and I have been practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist since January of 2017. Outside of my career I'm a wife to my husband of 10 years and mom to our three young sons. I love my job because it allows me to help others heal. I enjoy performing a mixture of relaxation and therapeutic techniques during my sessions to help clients achieve not only deep levels of relaxation, but also deep levels of healing. My favorite modality to offer is Myofascial Release. It's a wonderful technique that helps to release tension within the connective tissues of the body. I am happy to be a part of the Wildroots team and look forward to providing massage services to clients here!

What is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial Release is a massage modality that aims to release tension within the fascia (a type of connective tissue) of the body. Fascia is one continuous sheet that runs between every muscle, organ, bone and nerve within the body. This technique applies gentle, steady pressure without the use of oils to the surface of the skin and slowly stretches and elongates the fascia. It is a slow, but effective process that can aid in the treatment of multiple issues within the body. In order to truly treat muscle issues, you must address issues within the fascia. Fascial restriction from posture, trauma and inflammation can lead to pressure on nerves causing chronic pain. Myofascial Release is a great technique for those seeking a gentler treatment with high impact results.

How to Schedule

Myofascial release can be integrated into either a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage.

Megan will apply 15 minutes of myofascial release technique at the beginning of your massage, focused on the area of your choice. Please call 262.586.0199 to upgrade your massage to include myofascial release.
