Hello WildRoots Guests,
My name is Krista Duburg, one of the massage therapists here at WildRoots. I was born and raised in Trevor, WI. After years of schooling and a short residency in Illinois, I'm thrilled to return to the area and work in a great local business that’s so warm and welcoming. I’m truly passionate about and interested in all aspects of health. I believe massage can be a great addition to anyone’s wellness routine!
When I first started college at UW-La Crosse, I began classes focusing on a degree in Biology. I later found interest in massage and enrolled in a technical college near the university I was attending. While working as a massage therapist I continued attending college and taking classes in Sports Medicine and Management. After four years of living in La Crosse, WI, I moved home and transferred to UW-Parkside. During my time at Parkside, I had the privilege of learning from some of the greatest professionals in their fields. I took classes in Personal Training, Sports Law, Physiology, Strength and Conditioning, and Fitness Program Management. These classes only continued to broaden my knowledge of the human body and help me educate the many clients that I come into contact with on a daily basis.
Many people believe that receiving massage is a luxury. Massage should be equated to exercising and eating your vegetables. Benefits of massage include: increased range of motion, decreased stress, increased circulation, decreased blood pressure, pain management, decreased muscle tension, increased flexibility, AND SO MUCH MORE! My goal is to build a relationship with my clients and figure out which of those many benefits they can take advantage of in receiving regular massage. I love helping people and know that I’ve found a unique place to do so.
